Stories are one of the most powerful ways to communicate with children. The metaphor and imagery reaches children on a far deeper level than just our words and can also provide a safe measure of distance when exploring difficult issues. Stories have the power to teach, to heal and to introduce new ways of thinking and being into children's lives.

Therapeutic stories help adults communicate with children about challenging, painful situations and difficult feeling states.
